On Saturday the 21st of April, 23 participating countries for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest gathered in Amsterdam for a press event and a concert. They all performed their song in front of a record breaking crowd in one of Amsterdam's famous venues: De Melkweg

A one-of-a-kind event was held in Azerbaijan as part of the kick off celebration of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. People who attended reported that a large number of young people gathered at Baku sea front to fly sky lanterns into the sky. Beautiful!
