Photographer Baz Here’s new self-portrait series, “The Temptation of Saint Baz” is incredibly stunning, both technically and visually. Baz, who lives in Los Angeles and lives with his creative parnter, Bambi, and his dog, England, says he is “obsessed with the beauty of the odd – the uncomfortbale, and the danger. “I feel safe in the shadow but am always leaping toward the light.” He explains that: “In this series, I explore my sexuality, my shame, and my self-judgement. I transform ordinary spaces into a theater stage. Light helps me tell the story by using color and spotlight to illuminate aspects of the psyche. I am interested in watchers and saviors and the weightiness they impose. Look into the shadows; often they will be your teacher.”
