Evolution of the human face.jepg

A new genetic analysis of 290 people suggests that humans emerged at various times and places in Africa.  Scientists have revealed a surprisingly complex origin of our species, rejecting the long-held argument that modern humans arose from one place in Africa during one period in time. By analyzing the genomes of 290 living people, researchers concluded that modern humans descended from at least two populations that coexisted in Africa for a million years before merging in several independent events across the continent.

5G is innovating medicine—connecting surgeons with patients in understaffed hospitals in remote parts of the world and providing a seamless surgical experience for telesurgery. The surgery itself was old hat for Dr. Patel. As Chief Interventional Cardiologist at the Apex Heart institute in Ahmedabad, Patel had performed countless coronary angioplasties, a surgery where a balloon is inserted into the arteries of the heart and inflated to widen the artery and increase blood flow. A small mesh tube, called a stent, is then placed in the artery to keep it from narrowing again.

un united nations declares code red climate change emergency end times bible prophecy global warming 933x445

The latest assessment of climate science is a “code red for humanity,” the head of the United Nations said Monday, as a body of scientists convened by the organization—the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change—warned of the “unequivocal” and in some cases irreversible effects of human influence on the planet. The climate is warming at a pace even faster than previously thought and, without stark emissions cuts, could surpass a crucial temperature threshold “up to a decade sooner than previously thought,” Axios notes. “Unless there are immediate, rapid and large-scale reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, limiting warming to close to 1.5°C or even 2°C will be beyond reach,” the IPCC said in a press release August 9, 2021. As report co-author Linda Mearns described it: “Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.”

US Rejoins the Paris Climate Accord

The United States on February 19, 2021 formally rejoined the Paris climate agreement, the international accord designed to avert catastrophic global warming. President Biden has said tackling the climate crisis is among his highest priorities and he signed an executive order recommitting the United States to the accord only hours after he was sworn into office last month.“We can no longer delay or do the bare minimum to address climate change,” Mr. Biden said on Friday. “This is a global, existential crisis. And we’ll all suffer the consequences if we fail.” The US withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord brought cities into the spotlight. Because cities and mayors are acting now, and we must be right beside them as they become necessary leaders in this vital cause. See the world turning green in support of the Paris Climate Accord and the future of our planet.

world earth inner circle

A recent study reveals a new, distinct fifth layer of Earth deep inside the core, which could help inform the evolution of Earth’s magnetic field.  Back in the day, there were only four layers of Earth: the crust, mantle, liquid outer core and solid inner core. Now, scientists have revealed a new, distinct layer within our planet’s inner core, which could help inform the evolution of Earth’s magnetic field.
