Ukraine had its first Gay Pride Parade in 2013 amidst intolerance and suppression. In 2020, and due to the covid-19 pandemic, the organizers of the event decided to make a world statement regarding their Gay Pride by flying a rainbow flag with a drone and attaching it to their Moderland Monument
