In 1514 German born Albreich Durer develop this Magic Square. He was a mathematician, artist, wood carver, engraver and painter. Ahead of his time he developed "The Magic Square." The sum of all numbers in the boxes add to the magic number of 34 in every direction. As an artist He was famous for his "Praying Hands" and "Melancholy" . Both works of art were created in sketches as well as engravings and oil paintings.

Like the movie series, its intensity commands attention. We just had to figure out a way to use it. In our usual style, we thought we'd create an "action movie soundtrack" that combined this and a piece of classical music. In the early 1700's Antonio Vivaldi wrote a concerto for an instrument that was then largely "undiscovered" by the music world -- the cello. Among the first cello solo pieces ever written, Vivaldi was gutsy enough to write it for not only one, but TWO solo cellos and string orchestra. With no "action movies" in the 1700's, this piece was probably the closest you could get to one. It has intense and exciting moments between beautiful lyrical moments. It was this piece, among others, that got Steven (the cello guy) excited about classical music—it was one of the first pieces he played with orchestra.

Oscar Claude Monet (November 14, 1840 December 5, 1926), is the French painter who was the initiator, leader, and unswerving advocate of the Impressionist style. In his mature works, Monet developed his method of producing repeated studies of the same motif in series, changing canvases with the light or as his interest shifted.

This is 3 year old Jonathan conducting to the 4th movement of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. This piece was conducted by Herbert von Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker, one of Jonathan's favorite conductors and orchestras. Jonathan's passion for classical music became apparent when he was only eight months old. Shortly after that he began conducting on his own.

Russian-French Jewish painter Marc Chagall is considered to be among the best modern artists of the 20th Century. During his prolific career he created works in virtually every artistic medium, including painting, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramic, tapestries and fine art prints. Many of his works are inspired and depict biblical themes.
