Rescue teams dealing with the aftermath of storms, hurricanes, tornados and tsunamis have few vehicles and limited equipment capable of reaching affected areas that are underwater. The fully amphibious Aton Impulse VIKING-2992 is a unique breed of new vehicle able to traverse land, water and the difficult littoral zone to reach flood areas to rescue victims. Fitted with giant ultra-low ground pressure 50" tires and internal ballast for floatation, the VIKING-2992 is able to smoothly transition, fully loaded, between and water while maintaining its position using its integral water-jet power to provide rescue teams with a stable platform from which to launch search and rescue operations in water currents of up to 10 knots.
