The kiss wasn't part of the script. Chris has been playing with Darren the whole tour, trying to get him to crack. And only managed to make Darren chuckle once or twice. This was Darren's way of saying "You want to play that way, well fine!" And he got back at Chris good. Chris wasn't expecting that and broke character. Darren totally beat Chris at his own game. Look at Darren's face after he kisses him. It's so smug "That's what you get for trying to mess with me"
