At least 1,000 people attended a candlelight vigil Thursday night for the 17 people killed in a school shooting in Parkland, Florida. No words could sum up the emotion throughout the crowd. CBS Miami's Amber Diaz reports.

All around Parkland, Florida, a gun violence stricken community, we honor the 17 victims in this video as well as we support the survivors who are trying to make sense of a tragedy that had no logic. The shooting took place in South Florida, Braward County on Valentine's Day 2018.

A gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. The victims included students and adults. A heavily armed man in Parkland, Fla., northwest of Miami, returned to the high school that expelled him and opened fire with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, the authorities said.
